Our Story
Ensuring that our children learn and appreciate the Quran, they experienced Quran classes and environments that felt rigid and overwhelming. We started Al-Sakeena because we believe the journey of Hifz should be as beautiful as the words themselves within a learning environment that resonates with the current times.
We envisioned a space where pre-teens, teens and adults could walk in, leave the noise of the world behind, and memorize the Quran at their own pace, surrounded by encouragement and sisterhood/brotherhood while impacting the community within our location. We aren’t just teaching recitation; we are interested in helping hearts find their anchor.” and cultivate a lifelong bond with the book of Allah, build confidence, discipline and spiritual peace.
Additionally, we felt that, in this fast-paced, digital world, finding the time, the right environment and the proper guidance to connect deeply with the Quran can feel overwhelming for both parents and busy adults to navigate long journeys out of Kampala to access similar services,thus making Al Sakeena the ideal center for Quran memorization, perfection, intonation and mentorship.

To provide high-quality, accessible Quran memorisation and mentorship services in a calm, safe and well-structured environment, where every learner is empowered to reflect upon the wisdom of the Quran and live responsibly and purposefully in pursuit of goodness in this world and the Hereafter.

To become the preferred Quran Memorisation and Mentorship Centre in Uganda, recognised for Itqan — perfection in Quran memorisation, Tajweed and recitation — meaningful mentorship and a serene learning environment.
